The phones used with the Digital Cordless Network have a maximum range of about 50m outdoors when there is a clear line of sight between the telephone case (which houses the base) and the handset and there is no Wi-fi (2.4GHz) interference or masts nearby. When there is no clear line of sight between the case and the handset the range could be reduced to a few metres. Thick stone walls can severely affect the range. We always recommend that at least one half of the group stay in the same room as the telephones case and the other group are no more than 10-15m away, and that the telephones case is left on a desk rather than underneath to maximise the signal.
